Navodaya Vidyalayas as pace setters
The founding father of the Navodaya Vidyalaya Scheme assigned a specific role to Navodaya Vidyalayas. They hoped that these rural area schools would play the role of pace-setting institutions in the district by achieving high levels excellence. Innovative learning practices, developing correct attitudes and values that help students groom them to become useful, active and patriotic citizens of the country are some objectives. The children keep their linkages with the local community around them and contribute their might for furthering these activities such as eradication of illiteracy adoption of a village, environment related activities etc.
Pace setting activities were carried out avidly around the year. It entailed multi-activities i.e. Debate competition, Visit of Primary Schools of the District distributing form for N.V.S. and disseminating J.N.V.S.T. knowledge (awakening) for filling the form to appear in J.N.V.S.T.
