Road

Infrastructure of a district plays an important role in the economic development. District Ramabai Nagar is well connected by Roads with rest part of the country . The National Highway Mughal Road connects Bhoganipur to Auraiya ,Etawah and Agra. National Highway 25 connects the districts with Jhansi, Bombay, Kanpur City and Lucknow. The total length of pucca roads covered under PWD is 839 kms. However local network of the road in the rural areas of the district is insufficient . There are 971 inhabited villages out of which only 287 villages are situated by the side of roads. 94 villages are situated at a distance less than 1 km. where as 150 villages are situated at a distance more than three kms. from pucca roads. This specifies that the district has insufficient network of roads particularly in rural areas.

Due to bad condition of the roads the smooth transportation of goods from one place to other is not proper resulting in low value utilisation of the products produced by the farmers.

Railways

The district is well connected by Northern Railways and Central Railways. The main Northern Railway route connecting Delhi to Hawrah is passing through Centre of the District. This Railway track is fully electrified . The important Railway Station falling in this route through the district are Maitha, Rura, Ambiapur and Jhinjhak. The total length of railway line is 210 kms. Similarly Kanpur, Bombay Railway line also passes through the district in which Bhimsen, Lalpur, Malasa, Pukhranyan are the main railway stations. The third railway line which is narrow gauge belonging to North Eastern Railways, is also passing through the district.
